Our DSP from D2 Audio has an extremely low noise floor —revealing minute details that would otherwise be obscured by background noise in an older or lower quality system.
The r1 sounds great at any volume. Turn it all the way up with no distortion, or turn it down and still enjoy full, rich sound (perfect for any home environment).

The custom-made Cue cs1 speaker in the r1 and s1 products is bi-amplified—meaning two dedicated amplifier channels are used for the woofer and tweeter respectively. Bi-amplification enables crystal clear sound that is dynamically adjusted for optimal listening enjoyment.
We're very proud of the cs1 so we don't hide it, just remove the magnetic grille to behold this mini-marvel of modern technology.
By placing the r1 and s1 a few feet apart you will experience true stereo imaging.
The r1 features CueTouch controls that provide an intuitive and efficient interface. The CueTouch dial utilizes a push-to-select technology that is familiar to iPod owners.
Blue illuminated touch controls appear when the r1 is in iPod Mode. These controls mimic an iPod scroll wheel, with buttons for: menu, next, pause/play and previous.
The convenient snooze/mute button on top of the r1 is also activated by the simple touch of a finger.
